The Best Medicine

I am often sick

Not sick from things, but more so

of things

I am sick of violence

of stress

of dissappointments

but I think I have found

the best medicine:

Laughter.

Laugher comes in so many sizes

Big belts of laughter,

small adorable chuckles of laughter

Laughter from friends

from family

from myself

It can come in different flavors

Not ones like grape or orange

but spontaneous and natural

Laughter, although contagious

like many dieases

spreads happiness

unlike many diseases

Hearing laughter lifts my heart

and gives my attitude the right dosage

it needs

Laughter is truly the best medicine

And I'm lucky enough

to have a prescription

that lasts me a lifetime
