Below The Surface

Sat, 10/31/2015 - 22:12 -- Zmori

Cavern.

Plic.

An endless cavern.

Plic.

Plic.

Upon first glance, there is only darkness.

Plic.

Plic.

But to those who wait...

To those who listen

Plic.

They'll hear the hush of the river.

They'll see the ripples created by the droplets of the stalagmites

Plic.

Plic.

The ripples shoot out and glisten with stark blue beauty

The water scatters the light shining from below the surface

Plic.

Plic.

What is this light?

Plic.

The sturdy rocks, the walls of the cavern, the strongest barriers...

Plic.

...shatter with my thoughts.

I am a cavern.

Plic.

Plic.

An endless, echoing cavern

Plic.

Upon first glance, my never ending tunnels seem empty

Plic.

Plic.

But to those who wait

To those who listen

Plic.

They'll hear the heartbeat of a warrior

Plic.

Plic.

They'll see that in the vast emptiness, there is not nothing

There is something.

Plic.

Plic.

There are countless possibilities

Plic.

Below the surface of the water...

Plic.

Plic.

...is my soul

that unnoticed

yet undeniable light.
