Being Swallowed (09/03/2013)

Overwhelming sense of dread,

of clutter

clinging at my heart, my mind

activities, money, love,

family, the need to live up

to expectations

that seem more trouble,

much farther away then what was assumed

I want to take a day

drive away, far away

submerge myself in the sounds

of solitude, and peace

The relief of feeling no pressure

no pain, the weight lifted

to release that strangled breath

and exhale the sweer carbon that is freedom.

This suffocation, I don't know how long I can handle

I'm being swallowed by the expectations of life

and I want out
