In the Beginning
Location
(poems go here) A little nervous, that’s what I was
The day I walked through those doors
Not sure of what I’d be met with
Not sure it would be something id enjoy
Warm smiles of joy and thankfulness met me at the stairs
And many, “Welcome, we’re so glad you’re here” to be shared
Warm little hands pulling me closer
Always asking my name
Smiles all around and the endless question, “Can I switch?”
Homework help, play time games, buying from the store
Whichever it may be, soon followed a chore
Circle time, prayers, and lost and found
Were things that I found
Hugs goodbye and come again soon are things I was to begin looking forward to.
