Bedtime

“Good night you two, I love you.

You can stay up,

Just promise me you’ll stay in your room, okay?”

Father said

To the pirates searching for lost treasure

To the mermaids saving sinking ships

To the astronauts exploring new galaxies

To the veterinarians curing sick animals

To the chefs serving 5 star meals

To the models strutting down the catwalk

To the race car drivers breaking world records

To the engineers building bridges across oceans

To the explorers discovering new lands

To the two children,

Who had much bigger plans than staying in their room that night.
