Authenticated Version of A Teenage Girl

I don't do the Instagram,

I really think its such a sham.

Why use your unrealistic filters

to try to cover up all your fears.

Girl, YOU ARE beautiful,

Now rock that dress made of tule.

All that make-up, and all the fakeness,

makes me want to faint.

Girl why don't you understand the horrid image,

that society pressures us to fill?

Be yourself, oh please,

Be yourself, please be keen,

Be keen of your surroundings and everyone else,

That everyone has their own true beauty

About themselves.

Don't try to be someone else,

when you can be beautiful you.

Now please understand,

this, you must know where you stand,

against the harsh world of society.

Don't let them win,

Don't let them define beauty.

All in all, don't let them define you.
