An Arizona Moon

The moonlight that replaced the gleaming of the sun

And cast its reflection over the dark, sullen landscape

Thin lines of silvery illumination

Remembering your name and the memories.

A shooting star among the rest

Your heart ablaze and ready to fly

But the question is

Will you be the pilot?

To guide, to lead, to love, and to cherish

Those moments that will be forever ours.

Even though the moon has vanished

And the sun has returned to its place

The recollection of Cupid’s arrows

And everything sweet

is forever in the heart of the Arizona moon.
