Another Day

They're like the friends who mean well but always say the wrong thing,

These made-up holidays

Instead of casting the warm glow of a perfect nuclear family,

They shine a glaring spotlight on

Who's not here

What's gone wrong

How it could have been better

Yet, wounds heal, the right people come into our lives and

there is still joy

I want to put up decorations and gather those I love for a party,

When do we celebrate

Chosen Family Day

Caring for Myself Day

Wising Up and Rising Up Day
