American Greed

With it we define, the meaning of life

The need to realign, without much strife

To impose our odds, beyond our right

Begin to doubt the gods, enjoy our own delight

Selfish and shallow, we have become

Evidence of our own callow, the direct sum

Of a world so split, divided all around

Lets climb out of this pit, and refuse to fall down
