America the Changeable

America is pretty great

that I will admit.

Freedom, justice, liberty

We're all entitled to it.

But America is changeable.

We need some help, in fact.

There are many problems we face here.

Many rights that people lack.

Unemployment, racial slurs,

natural disasters,

homelessness, pornography,

animals killed for fur.

Women, gays, and children:

All need more equal rights.

Discrimination, immigration,

All power to the whites.

Puppy mills, child labor,

The homeless population.

There are many more I could announce,

But that would be no fun.

America has its flaws,

That I will admit.

But still, we are a great country,

That just needs some work on it.

This poem is about:
My country
