I'm an extroverted introvert

Please don't get it confused

You may think I'm very social

I'm foolproof in my ruse

I've been compared to a turtle

I retreat at the first sign of danger

Those people don't understand

They are treated like strangers

I'm more like a Tootsie Pop

Outside I'm hard and sweet 

Although I am great that way

I'm softer, sweeter without deceit

I act engaging for many reasons

For college I need personality

I have a buried deep wish to be popular

And the difficulty of straying from normality
