Always Fighting

Always fighting. Always fightingAlways fighting myselfAlways fighting in my mindAlways fighting aloneStruggling in silenceNo understanding to be foundAlways fighting in the mindAlways fighting alone Struggling in silenceSociety always ordering compliance Oh, they don’t realize that my mind only knows defianceBut you learn how to hide the fightYou tell them you are alrightYou keep the struggle out of sightYou have to pretend that everything is brightAlways fighting in the mindAlways fighting alone Judgment to your rightJudgment to your leftJudgment right in front of youThey fear what they do not understand They hide their ignorance with crueltyTry to subdue and rule meAnd claim it is because I am unrulyAlways fighting for myselfAlways fighting alone This illness it’s mental But it will not get in the way of my potentialWhen I achieve my goals it will not be coincidental While this battle will never end I can still find a way to winOthers fight a battle similar to mineWhile I am the only one who can fight my battleI am not the only one fighting We can find alliesAlways fighting in our mindsNot always fighting alone Judgment to our rightJudgment to our leftJudgment right in front of usThey fear what they do not understand So we will make them understand We are different but we mean no harmSomethings can be more difficult for usGive us your understanding and patience And you will see us thriveAlways fighting togetherFighting to not be looked down on When will the day come that the fight is over? Some days are harder than othersThe fight is a part of who I am The fight has given me strengthWhile I am always fighting Fighting does not always have to be a bad thing
