Alway a Stranger

Location

I never knew what love was like

That was until I met you

How could I forget?

Your smile, your eyes the way you fret

It made me feel like I was invincible.

All that changed one day.

That fateful day on valentines when you said

you had never loved me and told me to leave.

Forget me. That's what you said, don't ever come back.

I was dumbstruck, unable to speak, what had just happened?

From then on we became strangers, exactly the way we had first started.

Strangers once again, walking past as if we never existed.

Like we had never met.

Because no matter what, we'll always be strangers.

And the saddest part about it, I still love you.

I think about you every single day, thinking one day you'll come back to me.

One day you'll come up to me and say Hi, can we try this again?

But I know in my heart that it will never be.

Because once a stranger, always a stranger.
