As night falls over me
The stars shine bright
The birds stop chirping
And it’s past midnight

The stars vanish
And now it’s too dark
What was that noise?
In the distance – a bark

Outside it’s pitch black
And even inside
Deep in my heart
The monsters hide

They crawl out and shriek
Calling my name
At night it’s so lonely
Always the same

The shadows consume me
I wiggle and pout
but – oh, What is this?
The sun has come out
