BLACK with no Regret
I'm Black With No Regret
And maybe my shoulders scream it too
Or maybe it's in our stride
And strong voice and afros
I'm Black With Some Regret
And my eyes scream it too
And My hips, I cannot hide
Ape-like, both hands and toes
I'm Black With All Regret
Though Martin Luther dreamed it too
That we'll one day stand with pride
To accept our great nose
This poem is about:
Me
My country
Our world
