2016
In January
She was toxic.
Through lies and pain,
You broke a little more.
In March
You said it was okay,
That she loved you,
That she’d never hurt you.
In May
We saw the pain,
She told us not to worry,
You’d be fine
A little bruising won’t hurt.
She said you stepped out of line.
In July
We saw you smile.
She wasn’t by your side.
Your face was bright,
Your eyes gleaming.
There was a new she.
In September
You were in love,
Happier than ever.
And she treated you right.
In November
It was perfect
The wedding was all planned.
We never saw another tear
Just love
No pain ever again.
