That’s Not Love

Thu, 10/26/2017 - 08:05 -- jeng0d

Because I love you I said I’d changeand I did, but only for a while Because I love you I poured all of me into you so that we’d become oneconnected by the hips, hands always intertwined, lips always locked, and paths always crossedBecause I love you I wanted to tell the whole entire world that I love you, but at the end of the day I found myself whispering in your ear that I love you because you ARE my world Because I love you, I had to leave because this isn’t what real love is; love is only love when you’re happy, and my dear we weren’t, but we will be.Because I love you I will still love you whether you’re mine or not. Loving you has taught me that I need to love myself. A healthy relationship isn’t having someone attached to your hip, it’s being okay with yourself and having a special connection as a bonus. Because I love you means being presented with a problem and choosing to compromise rather than give up. My dear, if you wonder why I had never given up on you it’s because I love you.
