My elephant Sam grew a mustache

It was my birthday wish

My mommy said wishes don’t come true

But mine was special because mine did

The other year he had an afro

I liked putting bows in his hair

Too bad he shaved it, cuz I always thought

That afros were better than being just plain bald

But this year, this year is special

Cuz this year my wish did come true

My elephant Sam grew a mustache

A big and curly one too

Sam tried different shapes and sizes

Until he found one he liked best

Not too big, not too small

Perfect for me and him

Sam’s mustache is my pride and joy

A birthday wish come true

But once it gets a little too long

It’s getting shaved off too!
