Her Ghost
Location
The children, their smiles and joy,
a girl of twelve and one little boy.
They swing high, they laugh, they play,
they spin around the rustic merry-go-round, but the monkey bars they keep at bay.
Their laughs pull the silence into a state of loss.
They grey ball - they toss, and toss, and toss.
Best friends, brother and sister, together - one.
A contradiction of the long forgotten sun.
A scene of black and white,
the monkey bars in color, a chill of danger, of fright.
The moon rises, they're gone. Poof.
They will remember their sister, for her ghost hangs at her youth.
