Poetry for Palestine

The day dims,

The enemies relentlessly commit sins,

A pang of hope overtakes their senses,

Though the ground is engulfed in wretched souls and lifeless corpses,

They anticipate a future filled with joys,

Not days and nights filled consuming despair,

Fear overcomes the harmless girls and boys,

They wait for freedom to declare,

The enemies play coy,

Saying “We are only peace-makers!”

This is all apart of ones ploy,

Hypocrites stray away from reality,

Loathing the truth, concealing it with the blood of innocent lives,

When will we be free? When will we be free? ,

They chime the never ending chorus, wishing to thrive.
