The Book That Keeps Me Company
I’d take only a book
The one with all my memories
With only one look
You could see all of my miseries
Happiness and sadness
I’ve been through it all
It’s almost a madness
I was always so small
My eyes used to hold tears
Yet now they’re clear as the midnight sky
What happened to all my fears
I must’ve told them goodbye
In my pictures today
I’m cool, calm, and collective
Maybe if I stay on this highway
I could reach my perspective
My book would keep me company
In the loneliness of this desert
I wouldn’t need money
That caused me nothing but hurt
This poem is about:
