Let Me Rest
I am weary.
I am tired and I need to rest.
Lay me down by the river stream and do not weep.
I am only going home.
I am going to rest.
I am going to have peace.
Now child don't you weep for me.
Death will lay me down in the ground to sleep.
And the angels will carry me down the pearly gates.
And the lord will be there to tell me to rest
Rest my child. Rest.
And I will close my eyes and rest.
