Perfection
Location
Judgmental comments float about
As abundant as the air we breathe
Criticism being thrown at us by society
The pressure of being beautiful, intelligent, flawless
Who has the right to define these words?
Not you, nor me
Society sees this image,
This image of perfection
It sits there and soaks into us
Soon we feel the need to be this epitome of this so called "perfection"
It eats away at us
The pressure to fulfill this feeling of perfection becomes overwhelming
The "never good enough" feeling eats us up until we feel less than nothing
Just a body floating about
Living day to day
Cutting ourselves short
Never giving ourselves enough credit
