Running Shoes

I know the road there.

I’m settled and happy in the unknown.

The Challenge begins.

Doing what I want.

Yet still doing work.

The sudden feeling of being blind like when sweat gets in your eye.

Surprises me.

The pain in your stomach when you’ve had  too much to drink but still want more.

Is taking over.

I know what I’m doing could be wrong.

Doing what I want.

And what I’ve prolonged.

Breath.

I can see the end.

Come on you can do it!

Frustration.

Relief.

I never knew what I was really getting into.

But I worked through it.

The feeling of accomplishment hits me like a cool breeze.

I’ve grown from beginning to end.

I did it.
