While Your Over There

Wed, 03/28/2018 - 11:58 -- Rawice

Fate may change the plans we make

When we least expect it to

But one thing that fate can't change

Is the love I still hold for you

I'll always miss your lips on mine

Your fingers running through my hair

I'll always dream about you

While you're over there

You've left me with the memories

Of things we used to share

They'll help to keep me happy

While you're over there

Though I miss you more each day

And wish that you were here

The cause for which you're fighting

Makes me proud of you my dear

Each night before I go to sleep

I say a little prayer

Asking God to keep an eye on you

While you're over there.
