Rhyme or Reason

Without rhyme,

there is clearly no reason

Or at least that’s what someone said,

But what is life?

A random series of events

Tumbling and crashing into something

No one knows

Because in life, there is no reason

And yet,

When you entered my life

I found that rhyme

You took me into your arms

Held me close in a tight dance

No one else could understand

Every fall,

When I didn’t understand what you where

You picked me up and continued our dance

Teaching me the steps and the moves

I didn’t always know

You brought me the rhythm I wanted when no one else could

So thank you poetry, for being the reason, in this tumultuous world
