The One Thing I Cannot Live Without

The One Thing I Cannot Live Without

Like a backbone, they are there for my support

Even when we disagree

They defend me like a fort

At times it may be hard to see

We are all going off in different directions in life

But they are always there for me

They will be by my side, no matter what the stakes

Even when I am a failure

They define me as who I am, and not by my mistakes

They are my shoulder to cry on

When times are tough

They are some of the few I know I can rely on

We have a mutual love and respect

Together we face the hardships of love

Down to my final breathe, them I swear to protect

I can trust them completely, without a doubt

Many will say food, water or education

However, family, is the one thing I cannot live without.
