My War Hero

Fighter for our country, his life, and his family.
Vietnam War Veteran with scars of all the lives he saved, the struggles he's endured, and what comes with age.
The protector of the family.
He uses his mistakes as lesson to be passed on to us.
He fought the addiction  of cigarettes and the grace of god he became an addiction free man.
He has stopped the enemy from taking a hold on his life.
Under all those scars is his heart of pure gold, that is always active in the war of life.
71 and still acting as a protector (security guard)
Went from a class A uniform to a suite jacket and pants.
A wise man that can give the Godly advice at the drop of a hat and also combat the stereotypes of being a black man.
A hero is not born or created, but developed into something greater than what society has made it to be.
With the memories as a cape and the scar as an emblem.
Sharing his power with the world.
No he's not my super hero
He's my war hero!!!!
Thank you sir for not just fighting for me but enduring all the pain and strife of life.
Including having me stand on your feet for my first dance. (Dance with my father)
I stand at attention and go to present arms for you.
Love you grandpa.
