Mono-Duet

It doesn’t have to hurt unless you want it to,

Its what we tell ourselves, how we try to push through

I can’t focus, this poem is way too long.

Too many words without meaning

Too much meaning without a song

Was she supposed to call me, or should I call her?

Stop rhyming, it make what you’re trying to say harder

You make what I’m trying to make harder

What I’m trying to say harder

Me harder, like a rock like a stone,

Unbreakable, unmoveable, peaceful and alone.

What am I talking about, I’m not a stone at all

I’m a blade of grass in the forest looking at the trees

thinking to myself if I try hard enough one day that can be me

But I don’t try any harder

I’m too tired, too bored.

Am I rhyming again? Whoops

This poem is supposed to have to parts...?

Have 2 different melodies like the beating of 2 hearts.

This poem takes two hearts, two lives two opinions

I can’t write this alone. If I do, the poem isn’t whole.

SO WRITE WHAT YOU WILL.

Do as you please,

you do you, and I’ll do me,

Just kidding, I’m lying.
