Maturity

Maturity

Philippians 3:12

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or

that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess

that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

Growing old and ripe in age

does not give maturity.

Having lots as all seems yours

does not provide security.

Learning much, developed in mind

does not show purity.

Striving hard to achieve

does not enlighten empathy.

There is a way to grow young

it is not hard to find.

Start today with yourself

if you don’t really mind.

Be sincere to die to self

and salvation you will find.

A free gift just for you

like maturity in kind.

The battle is in your soul

centered in your flesh.

Putting on the mind of Christ

obey and give your best.

Your will then to be transformed

and you will see the rest.

Christ will work with what you gave

now victory over quests
