Leading by example

Ephesians 6:4 New English Translation (NET Bible)4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.  Leading by example ... satire

You do this and you do that

I told what you should be doing.

For goodness sake, I know what’s best

what does it take to prove it?

Don’t you tell me what to do

and don’t question my motives.

I am your father don’t you know?

I’ve been all through this.

If I don’t do what I tell you too

what does that really matter?

You say actions speak louder than words

that is just useless chatter.

If you listen to what I say

and forget about what I’m doing.

You’re going to be just like me

is that not worth the “knowing”?
