How to Justify Homicide in just 50 Years

“Are you following him?”

Yes and I have been for years

I’ve been on his back, for my name is history

He will carry me until dark skins meets heaven’s light

Until he realizes he is less human than I

“Okay we don’t need you to do that”

But I must trace his steps to dehumanize and deprive

Or his foot prints will plague the soil in which we helped him arrive

“These assholes they always get away”

But the greatest escape comes from inside

He had his chance to stay

“Help”

I know he was the one in need, for my name is history

And the past never bleeds
