Dear Society

Dear Society,

Why you all up in my grill,           Because you think,             That’s how I feel,      Oh you put me on that brink.              You make people want to pull that trigger,     Because you want it your way,    And you make things even bigger,         Because of what you say.          You are the definition,             Of discrimination,      But let me put my premonition,               In this nation.             Everyone is beautiful,      We are not the same star,      But you think it’s dutiful,        Not to be who you are.         At the end of the day,                   I am me,        And I won’t let you have your way,         Oh no, not today.         So let me be who I be,                                 Sincerely, Me.
