Many people want to live the fast life
That desire crumbles when they have to confront judgement's knife
There is no need to live in strife
Just don't go searching for the fast life
Day in and day out, the tension rises,
What does our red, white and blue really mean?
Can we avoid this terrible crisis,
Or will our fear prevent the twilight gleam?
I recall when we weren’t so divided,
Words written in scrambled lines
lines filled with words
words that determined my fate
fate of my grade.
Negativity builds in my veins
Threatening to suffocate my heart
Thoughts drag through a mud
That coffee fails to clear
But to move
Sweat
Release that toxic tension
Unhinge my mind through the
I AM YELLING
Can she hear me? Can she see the words falling out my mouth?
Can she see the tears pooling at my feet, can she feel the tension as my fingers crack,
as my lungs seem to give out.
I AM YELLING
There's a brick wall that only we can see
and it's my fault that it came to be.
With a torch I set the bridge to flames
and then looked for someone else to blame.
I sometimes ponder whether our souls simply conjure
the vices that mold our souls into monsters,
or if heavy hearts simply sink like lead
when life's violent seas bring disease and death.
