When I left home A short five months ago I had my priorities set And was not prepared to roam   College was what I had prepared for Before I knew the alphabet could rule my life
Shouldn't you be happy? Valedictorian sure that's worth something If everything was handed to you, would you run away? You're running after something like a bullet in a train
They walked and walked and walked. With bruised feet, they walked. With bruised souls, they walked. With bruised hearts, they walked. They walked with the shatters and debris of their broken dreams in tow.
