In golden meadows, where sun rays kissed the blossoms,
A colony thrived under nature's perfect rhythm.
Their queen, wise and noble, ruled with grace and might,
When I feel like I need you, I remind myself that I believed in God long before I believed in you. I remind myself that I have been praying longer than I've been calling you.
It's the way she's always there.
When I cry she cries with me.
She gives me everything I need.
When I need to talk she's there.
Driving in the car she creates
What does it really mean to be flawless?
Is it having a perfect face and incredible body?
Having all the guys/girls wanting you?

Broke Boy's Dream
Money for college is a broke boy’s dream
I only have money for things I need
I’m not writing this for a good college fling
But for my education and that’s what I’m going to achieve

The cracks in the sidewalk, the birds that sing their song
That little dent in your car. Its only when things get bad that the little things stand out.
Flawless
Young black and educated climbing my way up to the top
I was never meant to be average
Flawless
The books bind a universe, and I've dug it out,
Stretching the stars out on my arm.
I reflex and relax the meaning of pleasure.
My name calls me Queen of the Stars.
Erikaboom, I bloom, lost in a ranshackled room
My body isn't yours to define
no matter how hard you try
to fit me in your box
or fit in that top
I am not yours to define.
My feminimity isn't yours to define
just because I don't cry
"Beauty is pain."
The phrase I was raised on.
My mom, my grandmother, my great grandmother-
Whether it was while brushing my difficult hair, or applying mascara to my innocent and eager eyes before school,
