My name's not Springsteen, But I sure feel like a Boss Haters attempting to rag on me Gonna feel a little lot of lost cause    Time's chipping away at this face, Turning this ice into a sculpture
Have you heard, have you heard, Of this feather-shedding bird, The eagle, our freedom, our country, our cause? It’s sick, it is, sick as a dog, With dried up eyes and ears and tongues for laws.
I once flew above treetops through endless sky But in this small wire cage I can’t even fly My claws used to catch prey on the forest floor But now I cannot hunt like I did before
A beauty with wings and beady eyes flying higher than Everest It's ego soaring with every flap as it gains momentum Sharp mustard beak contradicts its soft feathers Gorgeous svelte body helps it ascend
My heart is ice-yours fire. I have emotions of sorrow, yours of jealous rage. Your patience is one to quickly expire, but love, we are two birds in one cage.
