If being a "liberal"
Means that I can plainly see what's wrong with the world
Then I'm a liberal
If being "evil"
Means that I believe women have the right to choose
Then I'm nefarious
I have a guard
Obedient and spry.
Whether I want him or not,
Is stuck at my side.
Alert and on point,
Eyes peeled to the brow.
The wind is against me,
And he defends anyhow.
I understand why you "believe."
We humans long for control. Desperately we seek it, always, but most when we have lost what little control we had and are left with none.
"God" is a defense mechanism.
