Never be afraid to turn away from the past.Never be afraid to burn the bridges. Some people can only grow once their roots are nothing but ashes.Like a pine sapling after a raging wildfire.
I hear the thunder roar
And wait for the downpour
Watch lovers duck into art galleries they cannot afford
To escape the rain and simply because they're bored
I sit on the banks of the San Sebastian
I have seen into the light,
For so long I never had it in me to stand upright,
I was always so pathetic,
I never looked in the mirror as my own worst critic,
It was always up to me,
We laugh and play in the rain
as it soaks through our clothe
each drop clinging to our skin
like the morning dew upon the grass.
We look up and smile at the ashened clouds
High five
high mind
Do I write?
or do I type?
Higher than the sky
my wings will burn
I will d i s p e r s e
like ashes
into the
Step... Step... Step...
Look now! What Have We Here?
By God, it's a Turtle! Taking her First Steps!
Shyly, Hesitantly, and on Wobbly Legs
Could You Ever Believe She Could Step Out of Her Shell
At Long Last?
A one way street, a broken path
One that's filled with shattered glass
No cautious steps could ever cross
This road that's made of pain and loss.
Above a light that glitters down
Lost in desperation, I am constantly searching for inspiration,
Seeking motivation, I need a little persuation to keep me in the mindset I was rasied in.
As I look in the mirror I'm staring at the enemy,
Breaking down the sullen streets
the things at night that no one sees
the bravely fought, the coward won
the poor old man who gave his son
this nation's heart, its duty calls
I'm not who I am.
I'm not who you think I am
I've changed
I want more then this life
I've died to my old self
And now I've been reborn
I'm ready to take up this life
