car crash

Loving you was like;
running all the red lights
Loving you was like being
Rear-ended; going airborne
through the windshield
because a seatbelt didn’t feel mandatory
Grey.
The color of her eyes.
The color of life fading away.
Oh, I could paint the skies
With that shade of grey.
Her.
My best friend.
I wish I had what we once were.
I hope your heart is as a child.
Joyful and full of laughs.
The world is not good,
but there is good out there.
1. You will feel so sore the next day that you're entire body will feel like a bruise, and people will notice.
White pillows, beeping, a rush of fluids in my arm. Oblivion.
It is the dawning of a new year, but I am stranded
In this room, awaiting the sentence, the doom, the judgment.
They put me down and replaced me.
A lot can happen in a year,
New places to go,
Fresh ideas to consider,
People to meet.
Some moments are filled with joy,
Others bring heart-ache,
Most we forget,
It was more than just a crash.
Count on those blessings.
The seat belt clung to me like it needed a new home.
Like my chest was it's escape and it new no other path.
And I welcomed it.
This is another story that I often think about:
the story of the team
after the car crash that ended the life of one of their own
fleeing to the dark library and grieving over a death far too early;
In the darkness and the rain,My life will never be the same. The driver crossed into my lane,And for my trauma is to blame.
How can they be so completely immersed?
This “love” that barely had a chance to start,
Is sickening to the deep’st part of my heart.
Why was I doomed to have this awful curse?
I look forward to
rolling down the streets at you
in tiny plastic cars.
But Saturdays can’t come too soon
the streets are black, you won’t call back
till late afternoon
