Being good at spelling bees
Aren’t much of a thing to show off anymore
I’ve grown so much taller
But things to show off are disappearing
Living in a big world,
I was once a stubborn child.
I closed the door from reality
and played for a little while.
I once didn't care about the world,
or what people thought of me.
The answer to lifye was given to us at birth
Though it was never written and was not in our native tongue.
We learned nothing from these lessons
As I sat in class my freshman year,
I felt content and had no fear.
I was a big kid now, and to my content
I could still live life without consequence.
