A little person sits across from me
framed by the wall
Hands can't find a place to rest
and lips poised to speak.
Peter Pan, Peter Pan, why won't you take me back?Growing up has just turned everything black.
Peter Pan, Peter Pan, this has to be a mixup,I simply never wanted to grow up.
A stranger knocked upon my door
I went to run away
To hide upstairs inside my room
Until they’d gone away
Life may be easy,
Life may be hard,
And you'll always wonder,
How it ever came to be.
Life may take them away,
Life may make you astray,
And you'll always wonder,
Why it ever came to be.
My mother carried me around the same way she carried her purse;
Right by her side, hanging off her shoulder.
The only catch- you can't be emotionally available to a purse.
