an ageless man plays proudly.
Mourning souls gather together,
when seven load their rifles.
From then to today
the flag that stood so tall in the sky, held by the weight of more than just the soldiers that grasped it
the soldiers that fought so hard, so much

It's amazing how the essence of somebodys presence can change you.
And then when your gone without it its amazing how it could offend you.
I didn't mean to notice you, but I did.
When I tripped over my introduction,
When my hand grazed yours,
Or when I stared down into your ever changing iris.

I can still hear his voice, lost over the rush of the waves.

It was a fan, stirring up the sticky heat
that sat
as still as I did.
The gentle rocking of a
heavy metal coffin
rocks her to sleep
