My first ex and I only lasted long enough to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
And my next ex was there for my birthday, but didn’t want the commitment.
So I didn’t let him stick around long enough to take Halloween too
Today is Easter Sunday
The grass is a little greener
The flowers are beginning to say hello
The chill in the air seems less invasive
It’s time to wake up, get out of bed
He whose kingdom is . . .
not of our world;
He prays!
God issued forth Him from Mary.
From His terminal anguish,
On Easter, a day
thousands of years old,
traditions have changed
but the story’s retold.
From Eastern festivals
to Christian new life,
to bunnies and baskets
and fields with eggs rife.
The cake sat in the fridge-
Cold,
Alone,
and separated from the world.
The cake was delivered from the fridge, and
Carried to the table
In order to be metamorphasized
Tick tock, Clock, Your face faces mine
As if by some sinister design
I'm inclined to sit and watch your hand.
Placing bets like “I dare it to move”
We were like sheep gone astray,
In silence he endured the suffering,
Paving the way back to the amazing grace.
In and with Love He our sin bore
Casting lots on the clothes he wore
His life He freely gave
We all know him,Jesus of Nazerine,
But as CHRIST that's no-know
He,like a young plant grew, grew like a root out of dry ground
He had no form of majesty that we should desire
The Lord came to earth with a life to give
Our souls he healed
so each one of us may continue to live.
Live we must do like how he did
with and in his love so others can also share in his life
In ages past when the world got caught up in itself,
I watched a kingdom fall, it was Hell.
I saw a Man crucified on a cross,
Bleeding like a river that needed washed,
His sides were split and legs were broken.
The King of Shadows
Was broken in battle
When a man stepped up
and got nailed to a cross
but He was not lost
no, even Death He fought
not for Himself but for us
even our soul had been marked
The Love that fought the Dragon.
Was so strong, so bold, so free,
The Dragon couldn't win this one,
So he was forced to leave.
The love that fought the Dragon.
was so strong, so bold, so free,
“Why should I do this for them Dad?
I’ve never done anything bad.
I cured their maladies and drove their demons out.
I performed miracles and taught them about
Around the corner the Easter Bunny hops.
He gives out big eggs filled with yummy gumdrops.
The small children all squeal and run to get more
And pick up what has fallen on the floor.
