like a diamond ring
left on the beach
Love discarded
like a half- eaten
rotten peach
I wish you were awake
and not asleep
My wishes are like ships
lost in the deep
Wait
for
sunshine
to brighten
skyline o’er seashore
pelicans set for morning rush
whispering waves recede to the sea for the next haul.
We are more than we know, we are strong!
Like the sea current pulling you slow
Asking you to follow the sea, deep within
Where many have gone unable to swim but Learning to float.
Your mind is on trial
