I cut my hair for you
That was not enough
Gave you my voice and time
Was not pleased with that either
You trapped me with unimaginable thoughts
You took me out of my prime
Growing up is difficult.
Growing up in a third world country is also difficult.
Moving away was hard.
It wasn't easy.
I dont think it'll ever be.
I thought you wanted gold,
Not silver, steel, or bronze.
That's what I was told.
Oh, gold! That's worth a lot!
All or nothing, not half
For You, I was taught.
Communication, trust, passion, and dedication -are these four factors considered to be a part of a healthy relationship?Who am I to say, for when I was thereI was swallowed into an endless nightmare.

How many times have you lied to protect us?
A day didn't pass by that when we didn't make a fuss
To them we owe so much,
for the bravery of Eritrea’s martyrs, is mighty.
Because through their determination and sacrifice, our country was given life.
May twenty-four, nineteen-ninety-one
a day of importance, a day of remembrance, a day of reverence
marking the end of a thirty-year bloody, decimating struggle for independence.
Sea goddess, you trudge along waters
with the veins of sea grass ingulfing your feet
your large, sad eyes
tell a story of being left behind

The flag represents the American Soldier
It flies in the wind as the soldier fights in battles
A broken soldier carries a tattered flag,
Its frayed stripes representing his spirit,
His boyish like charm stripped away,
His sanity as ripped and torn as his faded Glory,
Miles away from home a soldier lies,He cherishes many hello's, and despites goodbye's.He risks his life, he is willing to die,He does all of this to see that American Flag fly high.What most people do not understand,
