America the great,
Have you ever been?
Perhaps one day, but not now.
What are we great in?
We shuffle too large
Behind over-packed bars.
We cannot afford to live
Seventeen years of life experience and I'm still not qualified for the job, because everyone thinks I'm either too young or too dumb. Pressured by society to look thin and tan, but we can hardly face each other man to man.
I'm okay,
When I refuse to look you in the eye.

When I hide in the shadows.
I'm okay,
When I hide behind my fringe.
I'm okay,
When the world is ignoring me.
I'm okay,
I once told him that it was okay,
I’ve been called worse.
Truth is,
I hadn’t.
And when he hugged me and apologized
Thoughts are warm and Souls are sunlight are the words supposed to inspire a childhood mindset, but whomever spoke this obviously never understood how life kills your hope, breaks your love, sets fire to your dreams, poisons your mind.

You think of me day and night,
To you I am perfect,
You see nothing but me.
But I see you in a different light,
I see now who you truly are,
I can see your uncultivated soul.
When my Great Grandmother was near death in the hospital
I was curious to see what an old person's butt looks like,
so I kept standing on my tippie toes to catch a see
You say that the Civil War ended slavery,
Then decry corporations as practicing such,
Driving their "employees" into the ground,
Hypocritical Much?
But as I recall,
Over all,
Corporations don't chain
My world is damaged, my world it bleeds,
It’s been infected, corrupted, and battered to a “tee”.
It cries, it begs, it screams out of pain,
And unless something changes, it will die in vain.
The people celebrate,
The bells ring loud,
dancing one every street,
what a marvelous crowd.
The politicians jest,
reelection assured,
with their very signatures,
the nation secured.
I just want to change someones state of mind.
Everyday brings me one step closer to being outta time.
I'm sick and tired of everyone acting like this is such a crime.
Maybe if you weren't your own enemy and had a open mind,

Can’t, Won’t
You’ve used every excuse more than once
But I won’t forget
My vow above all
Against you I promise to bear a grudge
Is it right?
Is it rational?
I don’t care
