I am a Hispanic student who came to the US in 2010, leaving her mother and all her family behind, all in order to achieve a higher education. I learned the language in two years and I am currently trying to self-teach myself the Korean language. I believe anything is possible if we put our minds into that goal. Some of my poetry is about my family, my father's loss, personal feelings, perspectives/opinions about our society and what we, as part of that society, are able to do to make it better.
