Poems from jaaydeekayy
I am a 19-year-old woman from Lithonia, Georgia. I have a passion for music, poetry, and writing. I hope you take the time out to dive into my psyche. It's a wild ride, I promise.
Rest In Infinite Power to one of my closest friends, Mari. He was killed in the townhomes we grew up in. He will be laid to rest. The criminal investigation is still open, and so is the wound in my heart... Sending infinite love to his mother, father, siblings, and niece. He will live forever, and he is free from the pain of this world. As the psalmist wrote in Psalms 9:9, "The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble." To his family and mine, hold on. Just keep on keeping on, 'cause it's all okay.
There's a saying around, saying ignorance is bliss,
I didn't know he would hurt me, so ignorance has a twist;
A twisted plot to come and...
I wondered why you were so afraid,
I wondered why you were trying to push me away;
I know you really care,
And you want me to be there;
But...
If I had a black rose for every time love died
It would be the size of a pile three trillion miles high
Where'd it all go?
It was never...
People all around you,
Yet you feel alone;
Reclined on the couch,
Yet you're not at home;
There is no love, no love, no love here,
No love...
