Poems from brooklyn6timesplus

This is my description of myself and my poetry. My name is Brooklyn Six aka The Brooklyn Six Project. I was born on Monday, August 26th 1974 in New York City. I graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in June 1992. I served in the United States Navy for nine years. While in the Navy I have lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland Or, and Seattle. I currently live in Lynnwood, Washington about twenty miles north of downtown Seattle. Poetry is my written medication whenever I feel stressed about something. All of my poems are about life, love, happiness, sadness, triumph, and tragedy. Hopefully, i will be able to captivate others with my poetry. Take care everyone.
We struggle and can hurt sometimes
But, this is where we gain our strength
Withered and in a state of uproar
Our mettles are being put to...
As a parent
You must show that you care
Be a mentor to that child
Just always be there
Be there for guidance and protection
Show that child...
Stop hanging around the wrong crowd
All they would do is bring you down
The streets are nothing but trouble
Nothing but a disheartening...
Girl, with each moment that we share
We cherish everything
The magic is in the air
It is the bliss that we both bring
With each tender kiss...
Just remember to stay on course
And enhance your mind
Be that inspiration
Keep everything in line
Believe that you can do it
It is all up...
